Marriott, Aleph Hospitality, Ashaad Company to open Sheraton Hotel in Al Khobar

SAUDI ARABIA – Marriott International has announced the signing of Sheraton Al Khobar Al Hamra with Ashaad Company, introducing the Sheraton brand to Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia, for the first time.

Scheduled to open in 2028, Sheraton Al Khobar Al Hamra will showcase the brand’s reimagined identity through modern design, innovative features, and inviting communal areas.

The property will feature 580 stylishly crafted guestrooms and suites, offering a blend of contemporary elegance and comfort.

Aligning with Sheraton’s refreshed vision, the hotel will introduce three distinctive dining experiences, enhanced by a technology-driven design approach that reflects the brand’s updated food and beverage philosophy.

Guests can also enjoy welcoming social and collaborative areas, including &More by Sheraton, Studios, Booths, and the Sheraton Club Lounge. 

The property’s design will incorporate versatile event spaces, including banquet and conference halls, modern meeting rooms, a dedicated business zone, and a party hall.

Recreational amenities will include a fully equipped fitness center, a swimming pool, a spa, and a kids club, ensuring an all-encompassing guest experience. 

Located near Al Shbaily Mall, the city’s largest shopping destination, and close to the King Fahd Causeway linking Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, Sheraton Al Khobar Al Hamra will offer a prime location for business and leisure travelers. 

The project is a collaboration between Aleph Hospitality, Marriott International, and Ashaad Company, with Aleph Hospitality serving as the third-party operator for the franchised property.

Known for its expertise in managing high-end accommodations, Aleph Hospitality is the largest independent hotel management company in the Middle East and Africa. 

Chadi Hauch, Regional Vice President for Lodging Development at Marriott International, stated that Sheraton has a long-standing presence in Saudi Arabia and expressed excitement about partnering with Ashaad Company to expand the brand’s footprint.

He emphasized that the new hotel will embody Sheraton’s updated identity, delivering an elevated guest experience while continuing to honor its legacy. 

Ali bin Mohammed Al Ali, Chairman of Ashaad, highlighted the Kingdom’s transformational growth and its emergence as a hub for global events.

He affirmed that this partnership aligns with Ashaad’s commitment to delivering world-class hospitality projects.

Al Ali noted that Sheraton Al Khobar Al Hamra will contribute to Saudi Arabia’s vision of fostering a vibrant and competitive tourism industry by providing exceptional experiences for visitors and residents alike.
