The Bench rebrands Africa Hospitality Investment Forum (AHIF) to Future Hospitality Summit (FHS) Africa

AFRICA – The Bench, a global authority in hospitality investment events, has renamed the Africa Hospitality Investment Forum (AHIF) to Future Hospitality Summit Africa (FHS Africa), aligning the continent’s premier tourism investment conference with its renowned Future Hospitality Summit (FHS) brand.

The Africa Hotel Investment Forum (AHIF) has been instrumental in transforming Africa’s hospitality landscape over the past decade.

By bringing together global investors, government officials, and hotel developers, FHS Africa has facilitated significant deals and fostered critical conversations about investment prospects, government policies, and infrastructure.

This event has driven billions in investments, enhanced regional cooperation, and offered a platform for unlocking opportunities in Africa’s expanding hospitality sector.

Interest in hospitality investment in Africa is at an all-time high.

With over 300,000 new hotel rooms projected by 2030, the continent boasts one of the world’s most dynamic hotel development pipelines.

Cities such as Nairobi, Casablanca, Cape Town, and Addis Ababa are leading this growth, with Nairobi’s Average Daily Rate (ADR) increasing by 164% and Casablanca’s by 141% compared to 2019 levels.

Africa’s recovery post-pandemic has surpassed expectations, with demand for hospitality services consistently outpacing 2019 levels for nine consecutive months.

Projections show a steady annual growth of 6-7% in international arrivals, further solidifying Africa as a prime destination for tourism and hospitality investments.

At AHIF 2024, over US$365 million in deals were concluded, reinforcing the forum’s role in driving investment across the region.

FHS Africa 2025, scheduled for 17-19 June in Cape Town, will offer a tailored environment for investors, developers, and industry leaders to discuss emerging opportunities and challenges facing the region.

The event will focus on key themes such as financing models, sustainable investment and ESG, cross-border collaboration, branded residences and mixed-use developments, as well as the role of technology in Africa’s hospitality industry.

As the primary event for Africa’s hospitality sector, FHS Africa’s integration with the FHS global network enhances the visibility of African stakeholders, positioning them within a larger investment context.

This connection attracts greater international investment, expertise, and collaboration.

Dubai’s status as a global business hub makes it an ideal center for fostering investment in African markets. With more than 50 daily flights to major African cities, the city offers enhanced accessibility for investors, further supporting Africa’s tourism growth.

The FHS portfolio continues to unite influential industry leaders, strengthening connections and driving investment across markets.
