For the first time, Nairobi will host the Africa Youth in Tourism Innovation Summit, aligning with Kenya’s Youth in Tourism and Conservation Initiative, launched by the Ministry of Tourism and Wildlife in December 2024.
This initiative underscores the government’s commitment to equipping young people with skills, fostering entrepreneurship, and encouraging leadership in tourism and conservation sectors.
Beyond the summit’s core discussions, the event will feature youth-led tourism business exhibitions, business-to-business networking sessions, career mentorship programs, and a hosted buyer initiative.
These activities aim to promote collaboration between tour operators, transport providers, educational institutions, and technology startups, driving innovation within the industry.
As Kenya prepares to welcome participants for the summit, the country offers more than its renowned wildlife and coastal attractions. The event will also highlight Africa’s rich cultural heritage, vibrant cities, and diverse tourism experiences, reinforcing the continent’s appeal as a dynamic destination.
