Paytronix launches catering feature to enhance online ordering for restaurants, convenience stores

GLOBAL – Paytronix, a provider of guest engagement solutions for restaurants and convenience stores, has launched Paytronix Catering, a new feature within its online ordering service, enabling both large and small brands to efficiently expand and manage their catering services.

The latest addition is fully integrated into Paytronix’s loyalty program, enhancing the brand’s ability to manage both first and third-party ordering systems.

Paytronix Catering allows businesses to convert third-party customers into loyal first-party patrons, maximizing the revenue potential of catering orders.

Red’s Savoy Pizza CEO Reed Daniels highlighted that many customers often don’t consider a brand for catering until they experience it firsthand.

The company invested significant effort into raising awareness of their catering capabilities, leading to a profitable outcome, both financially and operationally.

Daniels emphasized that large catering orders can be high-pressure situations, as accuracy is crucial.

With Paytronix’s digital system, orders are processed in advance, helping to streamline operations and ensuring timely delivery without the stress.

The entire process, from taking orders to fulfilling them, is handled within the Paytronix platform, eliminating the need for paper or manual processes, which has proven immensely valuable.

Paytronix Catering aims to simplify restaurant operations by providing robust planning tools for handling catering orders.

The platform offers features like seamless order acceptance, partial payment options, and detailed calendar views to better manage and track orders.

Additionally, the system includes functionalities for adjusting lead times to help kitchens balance order inflow while maintaining service quality.

There are over 20 features built into the platform that improve the experience for both customers placing orders and operators managing them.

Among these are the Feed-o-meter, a visual guide showing how close an order is to serving the correct number of guests, and the Catering Item Feed Count, which helps estimate how many people each menu item will serve.

The Order Approvals feature flags new orders for managerial review, reducing errors and staffing challenges.

Ray Gibson, Paytronix’s online ordering product manager, explained that catering orders, which are often placed in advance and are larger than typical online orders, bring added complexity.

Paytronix Catering is designed to accommodate these unique needs, including managing the timing of orders before preparation and handling deposits, ensuring that both in-store and online orders remain accurate and seamless.
