Discover Saudi becomes first Saudi DMC to join ICCA

SAUDI ARABIA – Discover Saudi, a premier Destination Management Company (DMC) under Almosafer, has made history by becoming the first Saudi Arabian DMC to join the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA), thereby enhancing its influence in the global meetings and events sector.

Discover Saudi has taken a strategic step by joining ICCA, a move that will enable the firm to leverage its status as the Kingdom’s destination management company (DMC) of choice while further enhancing Saudi Arabia’s thriving MICE sector in line with Vision 2030.

The membership grants Discover Saudi access to a global network of event organizers, which is expected to boost the Kingdom’s convention and congress industry on an international scale.

In addition, Discover Saudi will utilize Almosafer’s advanced, integrated digital platforms to engage ICCA’s extensive network of partners and collaborators, thereby opening up numerous opportunities in travel and tourism services.

This development reinforces Discover Saudi’s leadership as a DMC and positions the Kingdom as the destination of choice for MICE tourism.

According to Senthil Gopinath, CEO of ICCA, the organization welcomed Discover Saudi—part of Almosafer—as its newest member in Saudi Arabia.

He reported that the firm’s commitment to elevating the Kingdom’s profile as a premier business events destination aligns perfectly with ICCA’s vision of fostering global collaboration and industry growth.

Gopinath further conveyed that as Saudi Arabia continues to expand its MICE sector, ICCA’s global network, resources, and expertise will support Discover Saudi in delivering impactful and sustainable business events.

Muzzammil Ahussain, CEO of Almosafer, stated that through ICCA membership, the company aims to redefine the landscape of interconnected businesses by capitalizing on the country’s ever-growing conferences and conventions sector.

He noted that Discover Saudi, as a leading provider of event logistics services, would collaborate with ICCA to enhance its offerings and drive more business, all in keeping with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.

ICCA offers valuable data, education, and networking opportunities, including access to a database of over 220,000 meetings, 20,000 recurring meeting series, and 11,500 associations.

Discover Saudi is also set to participate in the 2025 ICCA Congress in Porto, Portugal, further cementing its international standing.

This membership also reinforces Discover Saudi’s commitment to innovative event solutions and sustainable growth in line with Vision 2030.
