Loob Holding to expand Tealive with 80 outlets in Thailand by 2035

THAILAND – Loob Holding, the owner of Malaysian tea concept Tealive, has announced plans to expand in Thailand with 80 outlets by 2035.

Loob Holding has signed a licensing agreement with Bangkok-based Restaurants Development (RD) to bring Tealive to Thailand.

RD, which operates 300 Kentucky Fried Chicken outlets in the country, is a subsidiary of Devyani International, the master franchisee of Tealive in India.

Loo, founder and CEO of Loob Holding, stated that Tealive’s lifestyle tea concept will complement Thailand’s rich tea culture by offering a variety of handcrafted beverages, including coffee, premium chocolate, fruit smoothies, and its signature snacks.

He emphasized that RD’s extensive presence across the country will give Tealive a strong foundation for expansion.

The brand aims to establish 80 outlets over the next 10 years, with specific store locations currently being finalized.

Our priority is to adapt and expand efficiently by working closely with our local partner, ensuring that our brand resonates with Thai consumers while maintaining our commitment to quality and innovation,” Loo added.

RD CEO Andrew Norton welcomed the partnership, highlighting RD’s deep market understanding and Tealive’s innovative product range.

He expressed confidence that their collaboration would introduce a fresh and modern tea experience tailored to Thai consumers’ preferences.

Thailand’s well-established tea culture, along with its increasing demand for premium and innovative beverages, makes it an attractive market for Tealive.

The brand’s ability to blend tradition with contemporary flavors has been a key factor in its success across multiple regions.

By offering a mix of classic milk teas, fruit-based drinks, and coffee-inspired creations, Tealive aims to appeal to a broad customer base, from tea enthusiasts to young urban consumers seeking new beverage experiences.

Tealive continues its aggressive international expansion, with Thailand and India marking its ninth and tenth overseas markets.

The brand operates more than 950 outlets across Southeast Asia, Mauritius, and Canada and is set to enter the UAE soon.

In February, Tealive made its debut in India through a master franchise agreement with Devyani International Limited (DIL).

India’s vast market, particularly its growing young demographic, presents significant opportunities for lifestyle tea brands.

Despite the dominance of local tea vendors, Tealive’s diverse menu and innovative beverages are expected to appeal to changing consumer preferences.

The expansion aligns with Loob Holding’s broader strategy of growing Tealive’s global footprint. By leveraging strong local partnerships, the company aims to position itself as a leader in the lifestyle tea segment worldwide.
