Wyndham Hotels & Resorts expands EMEA presence with 83 contracts, 50 openings in 2024

EMEA – Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has expanded its EMEA portfolio, signing 83 contracts and opening over 50 hotels with 6,400+ rooms across key markets, including France, India, Spain, Türkiye, and Portugal in 2024.

Wyndham’s expansion across the EMEA region in 2024 contributed to its 5% year-over-year growth in its global development pipeline, reaching a record 252,000 rooms.

The region also achieved a 10% RevPAR growth, reinforcing Wyndham’s Owner First™ approach and commitment to franchisee success.

With these additions, the company now operates approximately 680 hotels in EMEA, covering 93,000 rooms, including 14 properties in Saudi Arabia and 23 in the UAE.

Wyndham’s growth strategy capitalizes on strong brand recognition and increasing demand across key markets.

As international tourism is expected to rise in 2025, the company remains focused on strengthening its presence in high-potential destinations.

In Türkiye, Wyndham continues to expand its leadership position as the largest international hotel group, now operating 120+ properties across 40+ cities.

With the country expecting 70 million international visitors in 2025, Wyndham is well-positioned to cater to growing demand.

New openings in 2024 include Days Inn by Wyndham Alanya, an affordable getaway along Türkiye’s Mediterranean coast, Boreas Hotel, Trademark Collection by Wyndham, Ankara’s first Trademark Collection property, and Wyndham Garden Cambasi, a scenic retreat in Ordu’s Black Sea highlands.

Further strengthening its presence across the Middle East and South Asia, Wyndham expanded its Ramada by Wyndham portfolio in 2024.

Key additions include Ramada by Wyndham Ahmedabad Narendra Modi Stadium Motera, strategically located inside the world’s largest cricket stadium, Ramada by Wyndham Kathmandu Dhumbarai, which offers easy access to UNESCO World Heritage Sites, and Ramada Resort by Wyndham Gilgit, an upscale resort in Pakistan’s growing tourism hub.

As demand for midscale accommodations rises, the Ramada Encore by Wyndham brand continued to expand across EMEA.

Recent openings include Ramada Encore by Wyndham Konya Karatay, a centrally located property in Türkiye, Ramada Encore by Wyndham Rajbagh Srinagar, a stylish riverside hotel in India’s Kashmir region, Ramada Encore by Wyndham Bhiwadi Phool Bagh Chowk, catering to the industrial hub of Bhiwadi, and Ramada Encore by Wyndham Viramgam, a full-service hotel in Ahmedabad’s commercial district.

Wyndham also strengthened its presence in the upscale and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences & Exhibitions) segment through Dolce by Wyndham, which now has 12 properties across the region.

Recent additions include Dolce by Wyndham Barcelona Resort, a luxury golf retreat in Spain’s Penedès wine region, and Dolce by Wyndham Çeşme Alaçatı, the brand’s first resort in Türkiye, located along the Aegean coast.

With its continuous expansion across key markets, Wyndham remains committed to sustainable growth, leveraging franchisee partnerships and brand diversification to meet evolving consumer demand.
