INDIA – Rebel Foods, Wendy’s master franchisee in India, has opened the brand’s 200th outlet in the country.
Wendy’s has opened a new 1,142ft² location at Elan Miracle Mall in Sector 82, Gurugram, with seating capacity for 30 customers.
The outlet offers Wendy’s signature menu items, including hamburgers, premium chicken burgers, nuggets, fries, and its well-known Frosty dessert.
Rebel Foods India and MENA co-founder and CEO Ankush Grover highlighted the rapid expansion of the brand, stating, “Reaching 200 Wendy’s restaurants in just 40 months, India has emerged as one of the brand’s fastest-growing markets, reflecting the deep consumer love of fans across the country.”
“Our partnership with Wendy’s continues to thrive, and with localized innovative new menu additions like the Korean and Chimichurri ranges, we’re changing the way India enjoys hamburgers.”
He emphasized the untapped growth potential of Wendy’s in India, noting that the company is focusing on an omni-channel strategy, which has driven strong growth, particularly over the past two years.
Wendy’s now operates in 50 cities across India, with 15 of its outlets functioning as dine-in restaurants.

Rebel Foods, which became Wendy’s master franchise owner in February 2023, is planning a significant investment in the brand’s expansion.
As reported by Moneycontrol, the company intends to invest US$25 million up to 2027, with the goal of more than doubling Wendy’s retail footprint to over 400 outlets.
The brand’s expansion strategy in India is heavily focused on delivery-only kitchens, with 185 of its 200 current locations operating in this format, while 15 remain dine-in restaurants.
