Hilton Dubai Palm Jumeirah earns prestigious Green Key Certification for sustainability excellence

UAE – Hilton Dubai Palm Jumeirah has received the prestigious Green Key certification from the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE), recognizing its commitment to sustainability through eco-friendly initiatives.

These initiatives include reducing environmental impact, and promoting responsible tourism practices within the hospitality industry.

The Green Key certification for 2025, reinforces the hotel’s dedication to sustainable hospitality and responsible business operations.

The certification follows a rigorous audit evaluating the hotel’s adherence to Green Key’s environmental standards, confirming its commitment to reducing its ecological footprint through energy and water conservation, waste reduction, and innovative sustainability initiatives.

The hotel has implemented several key eco-friendly measures, including participation in Earth Hour to promote energy conservation and climate awareness.

It has introduced an E-Valet system that uses automated vehicle recognition to streamline valet services, along with electric transport options such as Tesla and hybrid vehicles, supported by complimentary charging stations.

To minimize paper waste, Hilton Dubai Palm Jumeirah has adopted digital solutions such as E-Zip invoices, an interactive hotel map accessible via mobile devices, and a Digital Key feature that allows guests to unlock their rooms using the Hilton Honors App.

Additionally, the transition to E-Registration Cards has made the check-in process more efficient and environmentally friendly.

Sustainability efforts extend to the hotel’s culinary operations, where food waste reduction and the use of locally sourced ingredients support both the environment and local farmers.

The property has also participated in mangrove planting initiatives, further enhancing its green impact.

Suresh Subramaniam, Head of Engineering at Hilton Dubai Palm Jumeirah, emphasized that this achievement reflects the team’s dedication to integrating environmentally responsible practices into everyday operations.
