Hilton has confirmed the upcoming reopening of Hilton Kuwait Resort in 2026, following an extensive renovation that will transform the beachfront property into Kuwait’s largest coastal resort.

KUWAIT – Hilton and Mabanee have signed an agreement to transform the iconic Mangaf property into Hilton Kuwait Resort.

Hilton has confirmed the upcoming reopening of Hilton Kuwait Resort in 2026, following an extensive renovation that will transform the beachfront property into Kuwait’s largest coastal resort.

Spanning 1.3 kilometers of private shoreline, the reimagined resort is poised to attract both international visitors and local residents seeking a luxurious leisure and business escape.

The upgraded Hilton Kuwait Resort will feature approximately 330 guest accommodations, including 80 chalets, 64 villas, and 36 studio apartments.

These units will be redesigned with a focus on contemporary elegance, comfort, and privacy.

Plans also include the addition of new outdoor sports facilities, a dedicated beach club, a full-service wellness and spa center, multiple swimming pools, and a variety of dining experiences that showcase both local flavors and global cuisines.

Carlos Khneisser, Hilton’s Vice President of Development for the Middle East and Africa, noted that the redevelopment strengthens Hilton’s partnership with Mabanee.

He said the renovated resort would reflect the signature qualities of Hilton’s flagship brand, adding that it would support Kuwait’s ambitions in expanding its tourism sector and enhancing the appeal of its coastal destinations.

Waleed Khaled Alsharian, CEO of Mabanee, explained that the refreshed Hilton Kuwait Resort aligns with the company’s broader vision of offering modern, upscale hospitality experiences.

He added that the reopening would build on their collaboration with Hilton, which already includes the Waldorf Astoria Kuwait and Hilton Garden Inn at The Avenues.

A key highlight of the resort will be its positioning as a destination for events, conferences, and weddings.

The property will house a 2,100-square-meter ballroom and seven state-of-the-art meeting rooms, supported by advanced audiovisual capabilities and seamless food and beverage services.

The renovated resort will join Hilton’s growing footprint in Kuwait, which includes Hampton by Hilton Kuwait Salmiya, bringing the total number of Hilton-branded properties in the country to four.

Globally, Hilton operates over 8,400 properties in 140 countries and territories, while Mabanee continues to expand its reputation as a developer of premium commercial, residential, and hospitality projects across the Middle East.
